Gruen Watches

Dietrich Gruen was born in 1847 in Germany and he was sent away from home to become a watchmaker’s apprentice. This interest became a passion over years while he was training gaining expreience . Gruen worked for three years in Switzerland before taking out the patent.

The Gruen Company was one of the most largest manufacturers in the United States between 1894 and 1958. The effects of the brand still can be noticed with unique designs and types. 

For many years, the Gruen Company experienced several business partnerships and revisions. In 1977, by closing the doors, it was taken over by Rolex under the name of Gruen.
