Oris Watches

The history of Oris began with the production of Lohner and Nagel Company in Holstein in 1092. In 1966, it  launched 645 which was the first automatic mechanism and remained in production for 20 years. In 1970, as the result of joint work with Dubouis Depraz, the first arm chronograph was introduced to people. And new doors start to open for Oris.

Oris producing 96,850,000 watches between 1919 and 1987 was not damaged from Quarz crisis. Since the mid-80s, Oris especially concentrated in the production of mechanical models also focused on analogue date pointers, automatic mechanisms, mechanical chronographlar and analogue world clock.

Oris celebrating 100th anniversary in 2004 has managed to have a significiant place and to be choise of celebrities like Sean Penn, Harrison Ford, Gwyneth Paltrow, Nicolas Cage and Meg Ryan. With particular attention diver and pilot models, F1 series is another remarkable collection created under the sponsorship Williams F1 company.
